The Gathering Place

1) What this ministry is…

The Gathering Place extends the ministry of St. Mark’s on the Campus into the community by setting up for a meal, serving the food, and cleaning up after the meal on the second Tuesday of every month. On average, 50 to 60 people are served a hot meal in an evening.

2) Are meetings held? How much time is involved?

Five people are needed each time Saint Mark’s serves, and those five people spend about two hours from set up until the last pan is clean, usually from 5-6:30pm. At this point, if you were to volunteer for this ministry, you would be called upon to serve once every four months.

3) Are any special talents or qualifications needed?

There are no special qualifications needed to serve on this committee.
