Paint-a-thon
1) What this ministry is…
Plans and coordinates community service projects, including participation in the Lincoln Paint-A-Thon. The Paint-a-Thon involves painting the house of a disabled, elderly, or low income individual. The group may also perform light preparation work for the Paint-a-Thon, such as replacing window trim or trimming bushes.
2) Are meetings held? How much time is involved?
The Paint-A-Thon is the second Saturday in August. We prepare the home the week before (about a three hour commitment) and paint the house (about a five hour commitment).
3) Are any special talents or qualifications needed?
None, although experience and “handyman” skills are certainly welcome.
4) How does someone get involved?
Sign up (usually a sign-up sheet is posted in about June) or contact Kim Thomason.
