Pantry
1) What this ministry is…
Pantry provides emergency food for needy people in response to requests by human services agencies. Parishioners from Holy Trinity and St. Matthew’s, as well as those from St. Mark’s, contribute nonperishable food items. Any food that is not donated is purchased. The food is stored and bags for families of 1-5 are assembled at St. Mark’s.
2) Are meetings held? How much time is involved?
Meetings are not routinely scheduled. Individual activity involves assembly of bags and occasional restocking. Time commitment can vary widely dependent on the number of requests for food for the week, but usually totals to a couple of hours per week, which are split between the members.
3) Are any special talents or qualifications needed?
All that is required is an interest in serving the community.
4) How does someone get involved?
