Campus Ministry

1) What this ministry is…

Works in support of campus ministry, including college fellowship and special events for students, in partnership with the clergy and student peer ministers.

2) Are meetings held? How much time is involved?

Meetings are held on an as-needed basis, usually not more than three meetings per semester. (Cannot specify individual activity, as that will vary according to interest and ability.) We assist with the Big Red Welcome in late August by handing out cookies and water to students. We also offer a contemplative worship service on a weekly basis called SPACE (Wednesdays at 7pm). Time commitment for participants is probably two to four hours per month.

3) Are any special talents or qualifications needed?

Some familiarity with the campus scene and understanding the needs of young adults is a plus. Ability to put young adult newcomers at ease is also a desirable asset.
