Lectors

1) What this ministry is…

Lectors witness during services by reading from the Bible or by leading intercessory prayer.

2) Are meetings held? How much time is involved?

Lectors do not meet on a regular basis. They typically read every four to six weeks. They receive the assigned readings in advance of the service so a modicum of preparation takes place. If a lector cannot read at the assigned service, substitutes can fill in.

3) Are any special talents or qualifications needed?

Lectors should be able to project their voices so that everyone can hear them. Training is available on request, as is help with occasional pronunciation questions.

4) How does someone get involved?

Contact Bob Stock or Pippa Lawson.
