Welcome to Potluck Possibilities!
Join us on 4th Fridays for a potluck meal at 5:30 pm followed by a “potluck” of presentations at 6:30 pm. Presentation topics will range from serious informative to fun informative.
In August, our speaker will be Lancater Co. Election Commissioner, Todd Wiltgren.
Have you ever wondered:
- Where is the Election Commissioner located?
- Is the Election Commissioner elected or appointed?
- What qualifications are there for a person to vote in any election?
- Does a person have to go to a voting place in order to cast a vote during any election?
- What should I do if I have moved since the last election?
- How do I change my political party affiliation?
- How can a person find out when the next election will be held?
- How can a person find out which offices will be up for election during the next election?
- How can a person file as a candidate for an office during any upcoming election?
Todd Wiltgren can answer those questions -- and probably any of our questions about the voting/election process in Lancaster County.
Note: The potluck meal is optional. SMoC volunteers will focus on providing main entrees (proteins). Guests can bring fruit, vegetables, bread, desserts – or anything they’d like to share. Plates, tableware, and basic beverages will be provided. Dietary concerns? You are welcome to bring your own food and sit to eat with us!
