Welcome to Potluck Possibilities!
Join us on 4th Fridays for a potluck meal at 5:30 pm followed by a “potluck” of presentations at 6:30 pm. Presentation topics will range from serious informative to fun informative.
In March, Dennis P. Crawford will talk about a book that he co-authored, Robert F. Kennedy: The Road Not Taken From Nebraska to the White House.
Dennis practiced law in the Nebraska courts between 1986 to 2023. After retiring from the practice of law, he co-authored Robert F. Kennedy: The Road Not Taken From Nebraska to the White House with his daughter Laura J. Crawford. The book was published by Goose Creek Press in 2024.
The book covers Robert F. Kennedy, Sr.'s 1968 presidential campaign in Nebraska. While books have been written about Bobby Kennedy's campaigns in other states, this is the first book to cover his campaign in Nebraska. The Road Not Taken follows Kennedy's iconic whistle-stop tour through the state and shows Kennedy at his best. Through extensive research, this book has uncovered yet-untold stories about who Bobby Kennedy was as a person and how he related to rural Midwestern voters. It also highlights major historical discoveries found nowhere else.
Note: The potluck meal is optional. SMoC volunteers will focus on providing main entrees (proteins). Guests can bring fruit, vegetables, bread, desserts – or anything they’d like to share. Plates, tableware, and basic beverages will be provided. Dietary concerns? You are welcome to bring your own food and sit to eat and listen with us!
