Event Hosting at St. Mark’s on the Campus
Here at St. Mark’s we aim to have our facility serve as a connection point to the community. From Birthday parties, receptions, meetings, recitals and presentations- St. Mark’s can be the home for your next big event. Our two main spaces are detailed below with a form to fill out to request an event in either space. If you are looking at having a funeral at St. Mark’s please find the form at the bottom of the page.
Sanctuary
Student at the Glenn Korff School of Music, or another music institution in the area? Local musician? Musician visiting the area? Couple looking for a wedding venue? Intellectual or social activist looking for a place to have a talk/forum/lecture? Looking to have your child baptized? No matter which category you fall under, St. Mark’s is THE place to host your special event. Our sanctuary can seat around 180 attendees, and features beautiful architecture. Our narrow, long, and tall sanctuary features golden domes in the ceiling which together with other materials in the space produce some of the best acoustics in the state. Our sanctuary has two amazing instruments, our 7’ 6” Yamaha C7 concert grand piano, which fills the space with clear and robust sound, and our beautiful 1980 Bedient Op. 11 Pipe Organ. Additionally, we recently installed a livestream and recording system into our sanctuary, featuring 4 cameras, an array of 6 microphones spaced strategically around the sanctuary, two inputs for floor mics for closer instrument or voice pickup, a permanent microphone system for the piano, as well as a projection system. Have your special event here, and capture those beautiful moments in our lovely space.
Parish Hall & Kitchen
Or Parish Hall is the perfect place to hold your birthday party, reception, or any other small-medium sized gathering! Our hall can fit around 65-70 people and features 8 round tables that seat 6, beautiful (and comfortable) brand new lounge furniture, and extra tables and chairs for any extra needs. Here soon, we will have a new electric fireplace to cozy up next to and read a book, as well as a smart TV to cast or stream music or YouTube videos on. Additionally, we have a full kitchen with two oven/stovetop ranges, a refrigerator, and a commercial dish sanitization machine. We also have coffee machines, and other amenities. Students are welcome to come study in our space anytime during the week during business hours (M-Tr, 10am-3pm) without reservation, just walk in, say hi to our office administrator, and we will help you find a place to study!
Funeral Arrangements Form
Below is the form to fill out if you desire a funeral or memorial service to be held at St. Mark’s. The online form is primarily for those who are planning a funeral or memorial service after the death of a loved one, or if the loved one is soon to pass on. If you are desiring to pre-arrange a funeral service, you can fill out the form as a starter and the Office Administrator and the Rector will follow up with you. Or (preferred) you may download the pre-arrangement form here and return to the office.
